The data and visualizations convey that countries with more crime experience more assassination attempts. Nations with higher levels of arms trafficking had lower assassination survival rates, while nations with higher quality law enforcement had higher assassination prevention rates.

This graph shows the effect of a country's Criminality, presence of crime, and quality of Law Enforcement on number of Assassination Attempts. An important insight we can draw from this graph is that the two countries with the highest crime rates—Mexico and Colombia—represent two of the three highest rates of assassination attempts among the countries. Although there does not appear to be a strong correlation between Criminality and Assassination Attempts across the board, these two countries suggest that the two are interrelated. There does not seem to be any noticeable correlation between quality of Law Enforcement and number of Assassination Attempts.

This line graph shows the correlation between rates of Arms Trafficking and assassination survival. As demonstrated by the trend line, higher rates of arms trafficking result in lower assassination survival rates. This logically suggests that the more present guns are in a country, the more deadly the assassination attempts.

This graph shows the effect of Law Enforcement quality on assassination prevention rates. There is a strong positive correlation between law enforcement quality and rate of assassination prevention. The data suggests that quality of law enforcement is indicative of strength of national security. With better national security with more resources, governments are likely much more prepared to defend against and prevent assassination attempts.
